Statement of Faith
The fundamental belief structure of House of His Presence is reflected in the following
statements:
1. We believe the Bible is God’s word to us, written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the source of all truth for beliefs and the way to live. It is the final authority for determining all doctrinal truth. (II Timothy 3:16 • I Corinthians 2:13 • Psalm 119:105, 160 • Proverbs 30:5
2. We believe in the eternal Godhead who is represented by the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible. (Matthew 28:19 • II Corinthians 13:14 Genesis 1:26-27)
3. We believe God created the heavens and earth in perfect order and that He created male and female in His own image. We believe they were literal and biological male and female. We believe gender is determined by God and evident in a person’s biological body and DNA. We beliefve life begins at conception. (Genesis 1-2, Psalm 139)
4. We believe sin entered creation through Adam and Eve’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden and all creation since has been born into a state of sin. (Romans 5: 12, Genesis 1:1-19)
5. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, both God and Man, who died for our sins was buried and rose again on the third day and appeared to His disciples. (Luke 1:26-35 • John 1-18 • Isaiah 7:14; 9:6)
6. We believe in the ascension of Jesus to heaven, and in His literal second coming. (John 14:2-3 • I Thessalonians 4: 13-18)
7. We believe that sinners are saved by grace, through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His perfect work at the cross by which we gain forgiveness and freedom from sin. (Ephesians 2:8-9• Romans 6:6, Acts 3:19)
8. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience after salvation, and as a distinct part of the Christian experience. (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 19:1-6)
9. We believe water baptism is a symbol of new life in Jesus Christ. We believe it is God’s idea and that it does not save anyone. It is an act of obedience, and it identifies us with Jesus Christ and the church. (Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:12)
10. We believe in the operational gifts of Holy Spirit that are used in the edification of the body for Christ and fulfillment of God’s purposes on earth. (Romans 12:3-8 •I Corinthians 12-14)
11. We believe in living a Spirit-filled life, separate from the world and obedient to the teachings of scripture acknowledging the sacredness of marriage as defined in scripture between one biological man and one biological woman and living a life of holiness. (Eph 5:8-12, Galatians 5:16-26, Genesis 2:24, II Cor. 6:14, 7:1, Genesis 1:27)
12. We believe satan is a rebellious cherubim and under eternal judgement and that his works were exposed and triumphed over by Jesus Christ. (Colossians 2:13-15• Rev 20:10, Isaiah 14:12-16)
13. We believe it is God’s will to lead humanity into wholeness through the divine healing of spirit, soul, and body. (I Cor. 12:4-11, Acts 4:29-3, 1 John 3:2, 1 Peter 2:24, James 5:14-15)
14. We believe being part of the body of Jesus Christ we are called to speak truth and exhortations into the lives of others in love to reprove, rebuke and exhort toward righteousness and integrity in following Jesus Christ. (2 Timothy 2:24-25, 2 Timothy 4:2, Titus 2, Hebrews 3:13)
